NCAA Women’s March Madness
Band life is good Y’All! Friday's adventure was the Dreher Band at the Colonial Life Arena for the NCAA Women’s March Madness round one as the Presbyterian College pep band vs. USC and the Mighty Sound of the South East! To fill out the band and bring the Blue Hose more excitement, Travis Kelly, Jordan Knight and Kevin Sweatt were called in. AC Flora filled out our instrumentation and it was game on! Dr Joe Eberlin, Dreher High School principal, was our song changer/chaperone and we all had a blast. More memorable moments with great humans!

Congratulations to our “Presbyterian College Pep Band”! Your performance in support of the PC Women’s Basketball Team’s 1st ever NCAA Tournament play on ESPN Wednesday night and Friday afternoon brought so much joy to the PC players, coaches, alumni and supporters. One alumna sent me a message on Facebook that said, “Our Fight Song never sounded so good”, and Coach Dawn Staley was shocked we were a High School Band. Thanks to Mr. Sweatt, Mr. Knight, Mr. Kelly, Dr. Eberlin, and the AC Flora students for filling out our sections. Special thanks to Jennifer Baker, Elizabeth Barr, Adrienne Grier, all of the Hagen’s, and all of the Hughes for being the official Ubers and transporters of the 2024 March Madness Presbyterian College Pep Band. 2023 Competition Schedule RESULTS!
September 30 White Knoll Silver Invitational 2nd Place in Class 2A, 1st Place Percussion in Class 2A, 1st Place Music in Class 2A, and Most Spirited Band in Class 1A & 2A. Walterboro Classic 1st Place in Class 3A, Best Horn Line in Class 3A, Best Color Guard in Class 3A, and Best Drum Major in Class 3A
October 7 Swamp Classic at River Bluff HS (11:45 AM performance) 1st Place in Class 1A, 1stPlace Music in Class 1A, 1st Place Color Guard in Class 1A, 1st Place Percussion in Class 1A, 1st Place Marching in Class 1A, and 1st Place General Effect in Class 1A. Our score this week was 74.1. Dreher was 9th place overall out of 22 bands and 3rd in class 1A & 2A.
